Energeo will work with multiple Public and Private Sector partners to develop and deliver energy projects across the East of England
Coleshill, UK, 2nd February 2021
Energeo have been selected as a partner for Eastern New Energy (ENE), a three-year regional support programme focusing on Low/Zero Carbon actions and local economic development. ENE will help local enterprises across the East of England understand and remove the barriers to rapid decarbonisation of communities, buildings, and transport.
Energeo will support project partners through the provision of geospatially derived intelligence that accelerates the identification of Low Carbon Technology deployment opportunities, facilitates aggregation of multi-technology projects, and enables prioritisation of actions based on both environmental benefits and financial returns.
“Eastern New Energy will help communities and citizens across the whole East of England region understand the opportunities for generating clean energy, reducing emissions, improving air quality, and enhancing energy efficiency” commented Energeo CEO, Ian Dee. “Energeo are delighted to be a partner, delivering critical geospatial intelligence into ENE, accelerating project identification and getting Low Carbon Technologies installed more rapidly in the most beneficial locations”.
The ENE project has received funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for European Regional Development Fund.
The programme covers the counties of Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Rutland and parts of Lincolnshire and Essex.
