Energeo have re-affirmed their commitment to building an equitable data society by becoming members of the Open Data Institute (ODI). Formed by Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt and Professor Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the ODI is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organisation building a strong, fair and sustainable data economy by helping businesses and governments get data to people who need it.

The membership is part of Energeo’s recent funding success via DataPitch, which will facilitate development of a geospatially driven, Software as a Service (SaaS) based Energy Project Identification Platform. Energeo will leverage the membership to develop in house procedures to ensure projects are undertaken with data ethics and privacy at their core.
