Energeo Ltd have been accepted on to the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Business Incubation Centre (BIC) programme. Under the programme, Energeo will be developing a number of innovative renewable and sustainable energy based applications based on exploiting the latest spaceborne remote sensing technology. The ESA BIC will provide Energeo with office space, support and expertise throughout a year long incubation, the culmination of which will see Energeo produce a full demonstrator product for their unique Urban Energy Sustainability Audit service.
“Everyone at Energeo is extremely proud to have been accepted on to the ESA BIC programme” commented Ian Dee, Managing Director of Energeo. ”The support and guidance offered by the ESA BIC will be critical to the success of our Urban Energy Sustainability service, and will allow us to create a fully working product demonstration, which will play a key role developing our client base. It is also very encouraging to know that the ESA BIC’s Technical Evaluation Board support our belief that the Urban Energy Sustainability Audit service can play a key role in creating and developing sustainable strategies globally”.
Energeo will be utilising the ESA BIC to specifically develop the Urban Energy Sustainability Audit service. This service provides total urban intelligence on current and potential sustainability scenarios via the analysis and assessment of satellite imagery, integrated with socio-demographic and B2B/B2C data. Delivery is via an innovative online platform, removing client need to host and manage hardware, software or data.
